Meet Thom
Thom came to yoga in his early thirties, drawn in through times of difficulty, the repetition of breath, posture, and stillness became a way to come back to himself. What began as an occasional practice soon became a grounding rhythm - something to return to, day after day, breath after breath. For the past four years, the structure of Ashtanga has supported Thom through change and challenge. It continues to offer not only physical discipline but a deeper connection to stillness and resilience.
Outside the yoga space, Thom works in forestry, training others in the long-term care of woodlands and landscapes. His work is grounded in systems that grow slowly, require patience, and reward consistent, often unseen, effort. This long view shapes his approach to yoga: steady, unflashy, and oriented toward longevity. He also enjoys exploring movement beyond the mat through rock climbing and surfing, practices that further inform his respect for strength, adaptability, and awareness.
His aim is to offer something that feels real and workable, not aspirational or out of reach.
Thom believes movement, breath, and stillness should be available to anyone willing to show up - regardless of background, age or experience. His classes are small, clear, and stripped-back, with time to build slowly, breathe deeply, and meet yourself exactly where you are.
